Hot Humbucker Pickup
Will this pickup cancel the humming from my bass?
I have a Fender Aerodyne with P/J pickups. There's a humming noise from the jazz pickup, and I want to get rid of it. I'm looking at this pickup as a replacement:

I don't know if this will work to cancel the noise. Also; is this a humbucking pickup? What is a humbucker? Would a humbucker be better?
I was told that the STK stood for "stacked", apparently it's a stacked humbucker. How much do they muddy up the sound, in your opinion?
Fender themselves make noisless jazz pickups, not much more expensive than the normal ones.
My Fender Jazz makes a fair bit of noice but I spent a bit more money on my cables and got rid of my cheap effects pedals and it's a lot better, still not completely silent but I can deal with it.
If I was going to buy new pickups for it though I'd get the noisless jazz pickups, just can't beat top end fender pickups.
A humbucker is a pickup that 'bucks' the 'hum', they don't completely get rid of it though so decent cable might just be what you need. I've got a 15ft Lynx Neutrik Silent Guitar Cable, fit's my fender jazz perfectly with the right angle jack. They have to plug the right end into your intrument but you can unplug it from the instrument first with your amp still on, perfect if you swap instutrments or just want to cut out all the sound while you take a break.
Guitar with seymour duncan hot rodded pickup set?
Im looking to buy a set for my schecter but really wanted to play them before i spend the apx 150 for the pickups and insilation. so if you know any guitars i could try with them as stock pickups or some other idea let me know.

my schecter is a c1-xxx diamond series and has duncan designed pickups in it.
do you thinks this would be worth the cost.?
i want to put the hot rodded set in but idk what they sounds like in person.
Many brands come with duncan designed pickups but not the set you are asking about. As a long time user of Seymour Duncan pickups (my favs are the JB models) I can assure you that they are great pickups and you will love them! I have used almost every pickup out there and have come to rely on duncans the most. I play everything from classic to modern rock and metal as well as jazz fusion and progressive metal
